Obi siphoned $15 million, N12 billion campaign funds to help Abure’s family, IPOB : Apapa-led Labour Party
The Lamidi Apapa-led faction of the Labour Party has accepted the judgment of the presidential election tribunal , which affirmed the victory of President Bola Tinubu in the February 25 poll. Mr Apapa said the judgment was acceptable and accused Peter Obi of siphoning $15 million and N12 billion.
The Julius Abure faction of the party declined to respond to the allegation of siphoning campaign funds.
The faction disclosed this in a statement by its spokesman, Abayomi Arabambi.

“Some of us have been saying that Peter Obi decided to go to the tribunal to justify all the money he collected during the campaign. All that money was corruptly siphoned,” the Labour Party faction stated. “Thus, our previous position has now been confirmed that Peter Obi was just all out to defraud our party of donations made towards 2023 general election which was in a scary sum of $15 million and N12 billion that Peter Obi deliberate (sic) used for (sic) cure Abure poverty lineage and help other Julius Abure IPOB irresponsible ethnic irredeemable irredentist supporters to have a lifeline.”
The Labour Party faction claimed, “Peter Obi fraudulently converted all monies due to our agents across the country and they all refuse to represent the party at all pooling units.”

However, the Abure faction of the Labour Party’s spokesman, Obiora Ifoh, told Peoples Gazette Thursday, “We can ‘t be trading words with someone who has been expelled from the party and has no locus standi to claim that he’s the chairman of Labour Party.”
Mr Ifoh added, “The man (Apapa) is an imposter, not a member of the party. How could you even give him an audience? I can ‘t respond to what an imposter is saying. He’s an unknown quantity. He’s not known by law, INEC or the Labour Party.”
Tanko Yunusa, the spokesman for the Peter Obi-Yusuf Datti Presidential Campaign, told The Gazette that the “fact is that we don’t have a faction.”

“We can ‘t be responding to people who we’re not in the line of argument with. That’s why most of us don’t want to respond to this particular allegation that doesn’t have any locus standi,” Mr Yunusa explained.
He added, “As far as I’m concerned, that’s where we’ll remain on this particular matter. They’re just creating issues out of nothing and seeking attention. If they like, they should go and take us to court on that matter.”

“ How can you pardon your son and ignore other people that have been there for years,That is abuse of power” – Donald Trump to Biden

Former President Donald Trump has expressed his dissatisfaction with President Joe Biden’s decision to pardon his son while others who committed similar crimes remain in prison. Trump didn’t mince words, stating:

“How can you pardon your son and ignore other people that have been there for years? That is abuse of power.”

He went on to emphasize the unfairness of the situation, adding:

“Your son committed a crime, the same crime that other people committed, and they have been in prison for years. What happens to them after you free your son? That is abuse of power. People should be treated the same in America.”

Trump’s remarks highlight a broader concern about equal treatment under the law and the potential misuse of presidential power. His critique implies that Biden’s actions set a precedent that undermines the justice system, sparking debates across political and social platforms.

The issue has stirred significant controversy, with many questioning whether the pardon reflects favoritism. While Biden’s supporters may argue that his decision was personal, critics like Trump see it as an affront to the principles of fairness and justice in America.

“Why will flavour call kcee copy copy akaria” –  these men are doing well in their lane, and because I am biased towards Flavour’s music, I will not speak ill of Kcee’s efforts, fan said

Kcee released an album titled Mr Versatile around July 2024. If he didn’t react to Flavour’s “copy copy akaria”, I wouldn’t know he released an album this year.

I enjoy the music of both illustrious sons of Ala Igbo. If I were at a wedding reception or inside the bedroom, I would hear more of Flavour’s songs. At a club, I would hear a mixture of Kcee and Flavour’s songs. If I were at a burial, I would hear Flavour’s songs more.

If I sampled the opinions of 30 random men and women between 40 and 60 years old who they preferred between both artists, many would say Flavour.

When Kcee called Flavour a needle in the ocean of things that matter, I assume he may be referring to another thing and not music. When it comes to music, Flavour is the ocean.

Kcee made an important point by stating no one should gatekeep the Igbo culture, and I agree with him. Anyone who feels their creative juice connects to their Igbo culture should create authentic sounds that will remain evergreen in our hearts and not belittle others for trying.

Before Flavour released his 2005 album N’abania, KC Presh (Kcee and Presh) had toured the country after their Star Quest success in 2002. Both men have come a long way and invested so much in their crafts.

Both men are doing well in their lane, and because I am biased towards Flavour’s music, I will not speak ill of Kcee’s efforts. We all have access to the Internet, streaming and concert numbers. You can be the judge.

Today, judging from current statistics of active musicians, no Igbo artist is more prominent than Flavour of Africa.

You may not like a man because you don’t have access to him, or both of you don’t roll, but don’t discredit his hard work.
